Dear GISMO Members and Friends of GISMO,
This is to let you know about the NYS GIS Association’s Geospatial Conference (GeoCon) to be held in Lake Placid from Wednesday, October 8th – 10th, 2025. It is an opportunity to inform GIS practitioners across the State, including State GIS personnel, about what we are doing in the City.
GeoCons are great events where you get to meet colleagues from across the State and hear about their work while sharing your own efforts. Attendees include representatives from State, Local, and Federal government, and from private, non-profit, and educational organizations.
- Students are welcome and offered a discount rate.
- All GISMO members are automatically NYSGISA members and therefore eligible for all discounts offered.
Please respond by Monday, June 16th to the questions below so we can have an idea of how many GISMO attendees there might be, how we can make travel upstate easier, and whether you might like to give a presentation. The deadline for presentation proposals is June 16.
