Spatial Finance Now: Where Satellites Meet Capital Markets
The financial sector has spent a decade being told that satellite data would transform how it prices risk. It mostly didn’t. Then something changed.
Join Tee Barr, Chief Strategy Officer at Clairvoyint.ai, for a presentation tracing the full arc of Spatial Finance, from its promising origins and structural failure modes, to the foundation model breakthroughs that are finally making it work, to the five developments that will define the next decade of the field.
This is not a pitch deck. It’s an honest account of why a genuinely important idea took so long to get off the ground, and a clear-eyed look at where it’s heading now that it finally has.
What we’ll cover: The origin story. The autopsy. The revival. The future.

Speaker: Tee Barr
Tee Barr is a queer geospatial strategist, climate risk operator, and professional agitator living somewhere between GeoAI, finance, and cultural critique. They spend their days translating Earth observation, insurance, and spatial intelligence into sharper ways of seeing the world, while spending their nights dismantling masculinity, the patriarchy, writing emotionally radioactive essays, and hosting conversations that feel half salon, half systems failure. Equal parts FinPunk theorist, chaotic map gremlin, and late-night philosopher in a taco truck, Tee believes geography is never just about place, it’s about power, identity, and who gets to become fully visible.
