GISMO In-Person Meeting

Bring your ideas to GISMO’s committee workshop!For this month’s GISMO in-person meeting, we will be changing the format slightly and having an interactive workshop in lieu of a speaker presentation. We will highlight the new GISMO Committees that have been formed this year, discuss their goals, and plan out next steps. Committee topics include: Elections, GeoAI, Membership, Open Tech, Policy, Special Events, and Students. You do not need to currently be a GISMO member or on a Committee to participate. We will utilize whiteboards and breakout groups as needed.
The Special Events committee will be forming to coordinate larger events, including the fall 35th Anniversary meeting, and the GISMO contribution to the NYSGISA conference. If you are interested in presenting or hosting a panel at either of these events, this is a great opportunity to pitch your idea, brainstorm, and get immediate feedback.
This will also be the last event held at 77 Water Street, before Arup moves to a new office nearby on Broadway. Come and enjoy the spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty one last time! We will have some wine and light refreshments.
