Are you trying to learn more on how to get professionally involved in the field of GIS? Or are you already a professional who would like to help someone new navigate the field? Then participating in our mentorship program can be a great opportunity for you.
GISMO is in the process of determining interest for a mentorship program, pairing mentees with experienced GIS professionals to help guide the next generation of GIS experts. The mentorship program would match potential mentees (e.g. students, recent graduates, early or mid-career professionals) with a GIS professional from a variety of sectors.
Mentors and mentees will arrange their meetings (location, frequency, and duration), topics of discussion (resumes, cover letters, interviews) and goals at their discretion.
Join us on Friday, May 6th, 2022 at 5:00 – 6:30 PM as our introduction meeting for potential mentors and mentees. The objective of this meeting will be to provide background and guidelines for the mentorship program and to learn more about participants’ work and interests related to GIS. This is meant to assist in your decision to match with a mentor/mentee.
