You have a are cordially invited to participate via Zoom in A Commemoration of the Geospatial Response to the Attack on the World Trade Center and Reflections on 25 Years of Progress on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
This is a hybrid event. In-person attendance is by invitation only, and we welcome additional guests to participate virtually via Zoom.
The evening’s formal program will begin at 5:00 PM with welcome and opening remarks by Professor Sean Ahearn, Director of the Center for Applied Research of Spatial Information (CARSI), who will also serve as Master of Ceremonies. The program will feature distinguished speakers and leaders from Hunter College, NYC Emergency Management, FDNY, Esri, GISMO, and other organizations, who will share perspectives on the geospatial response to the September 11attacks, twenty-five years of progress in emergency management and GIS, and the future of geospatial technology to improve disaster response.
